Artisan Maker Fayre

Let me introduce myself. Hi my name is Lena Jarl Churm, a Swedish watercolors artist living in Little Wenlock with my husband Brian and my 2 cats. I have experience in managing art exhibitions here in Shropshire, Maws Jackfield, Ludlow, and Sweden, and this will be our 3th annual Artisan Fayre in Little Wenlock.

This event brings together local artists and makers to showcase and sell their work in the run-up to Christmas. So, we have painters, glass art, potters, jewellery, award-winning garden sculpture, upcycled furniture, linocuts, photography, creative spirit, hand painted art, Julie Neil design, jams and cakes, and chocolate of course.

We are doing a charity donation to Alzheimer’s society and Stroke Association. A friend in the village - a brilliant photographer - died this summer as a result of a stroke. He has travelled around the world with his wife, and the photos will come up for sale.Money goes to the Stroke Association. He was a great man and we miss him dearly.

The “café” is open, with a lottery to win Lena’s spectacular Arty Cake.

There will be demonstration in making flowers or cards with tissue paper. Award winning Lucy Young will do a demonstration with clay on a wheel. Kit will do a demo in lino-cutting. For children we have the longest paper to paint on, and hopefully we can mount and sell to a children’s charity.

We have lottery with lots of different prizes to win.
